Introduction:
Hunan Normal University, founded in 1938, is located in Changsha, a famous city with a long history and brilliant culture. As an institution of higher education with a complete range of disciplines with various outstanding professionals and talents gathering in the natural picturesque surroundings, it has become a national "211-Project" school, one of the country's 100 key universities enjoying priority in obtaining national funds.
Key Laboratory of Chemical Biology & Traditional Chinese Medicine Research (Ministry of Education of China) started its construction in 2003 and its official operation in 2006. In the present, there are 52 researchers including one member of the Chinese Academy of Science and 31 professors. Amongst them, 32 young and middle-aged teachers have doctoral degrees and 18 of them have experiences of studying abroad. The academic committee of the laboratory consists of 15 professors and Prof. Hongyuan Chen of Nanjing University, a member of the Chinese Academy of Science, is the committee director. Prof. Qingji Xie is the laboratory director.
